This Privacy Policy explains how Japanese Idiom Memory handles data for the features that currently exist. It does not describe features that are not implemented.
Information we process
When you sign in with Google, the app receives an authentication session through Supabase Auth and may store your display name, avatar URL, and preferred language to show account state and complete your profile.
When you study or review, the app stores idiom progress linked to your account, including learned records, last review time, next review time, and review count.
How we use information
Account information is used for sign-in, sign-out, showing your current account state, and letting you continue learning later.
Learning progress is used to decide completed levels, today’s due review items, and the spaced review schedule.
Third-party services
Google is used for sign-in. The sign-in flow is handled by Google and Supabase Auth.
Supabase is used for authentication, profile records, and learning progress storage.
PostHog is used for minimal product analytics, such as page views, content page views, login clicks, study starts, and level completions. The current code does not intentionally send email, name, avatar URL, OAuth tokens, or Supabase sessions as analytics event properties.
Analytics data
Analytics events may include low-sensitivity fields such as locale, page path, page type, study mode, current level, app environment, and site origin.
This data helps us understand basic usage and improve the product. The current PostHog setup disables automatic pageview tracking, pageleave tracking, and autocapture.
Retention and choices
Learning progress remains in Supabase so you can continue learning. Signing out does not automatically delete saved cloud progress.
